The Urban Music Association of Canada employed a new nominee and voting procedure for this years' Canadian Urban Music Awards.

With a new name for the awards show the Canadian Urban Music Awards (CUMAs) (formerly the Urban X-Posure Awards) needed a new method of voting.

We really wanted to get our membership active in the voting process. We employed Hi Profile to come up with an online voting system to meet our needs. This new voting system allowed us to launch an online tool that provided a great method of allowing our membership and the public at large to be a part of this years' awards. This initiative met with rave reviews and was the first of it's kind for the music industry.

Our new system was liked so much by CARAS that they contacted us to tell us that they would be employing a new system encompassing the same features as our system for voting in the 2005 Juno Awards, which they did.
